Doesn't make that much of a difference

Cons
Bulky
Hard to Clean
Stiff
I was really disappointed with my insulated tube. Especially for[$]. I havn't noticed that big of a difference in it keeping my water unfrozen during winters or cool during summers. If anything, it makes the tube harder to store and I end up having the entire length of the tube hanging out so if I want a drink I have to fetch it. It makes it so stiff and the tube is way to long to properly manage. It's also a pain to get in the backpack - you have to disconnect it from the bladder and then reconnect it every time to get the bladder in and out.

80 Degrees, not so much

Pros
Good Water Flow
Works with Platypus
Cons
Expensive
No clip or magnet
Best Uses
Day Hiking
Mountain Biking
I used this with a 2L Platypus Big Zip reservoir. It was simple to install on the bag.
You have to buy a clip because all you get is a hose.
I used this on a 7 hour day hike in 80 degree weather. I had my 2 liter Platypus bag in the refrigerator a day prior to the hike to make sure the water was cold. I could tell a difference in the water temp compared to the standard hose. The difference was only slight. Maybe around 20% cooler. So, the water was still warm...
If Camelback didn't make you buy extras and charge a lot I would have rated it higher. It'a just way to expensive for using in hot weather. Maybe it's better in freezing conditions.
BOTTOM LINE  No, I would not recommend this to a friend
